Central Intake Line

The Central Intake Line Program provides coordinated access to Transitional Housing Supports in Peel Region. The Central Intake Line is the first point of contact for the Transitional Housing Support Program and Community Outreach Services in Peel Region. As a client-centred program, clients define and identify their needs and what types of supports they want to access.

Support can take many forms, including one-to-one support, risk assessment and safety planning, emotional support, legal support (criminal, family immigration), housing supports, referrals to other services, information-sharing, problem-solving, advocacy supports (i.e. Children’s Aid Society) and access to shelter.

The following agencies accept referrals from the Central Intake Line to their Transitional Housing Support worker. Please note when making referrals to any other services, including those outlined below, that the organizations do not have the same service criteria as Embrave nor the same organizational framework.

  • Catholic Crosscultural Services (CCS): Provides a range of settlement supports to newcomers, immigrants and refugees.
  • Family Transition Place: Provides legal, transitional and housing support to clients who have experienced any form of violence and who reside in Bolton/Caledon.
  • Victim Services of Peel: Provides supports to people in cases where police have laid charges, and also for tragic circumstances where police have attended (e.g., car accident that resulted in someone’s death).
  • Women’s Counselling Services: Provides counselling supports to women who have experienced any form of violence. They also provide legal support, advocacy and completion of housing applications.
